Description

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Data Architect to join our team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in helping our organisation structure and manage increasingly complex data ecosystems. You will be responsible for mapping data processes, designing and implementing data platform architectures, and serving as a key liaison between various stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Design, implement, and oversee robust data models and structures to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions
  • Create and maintain data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, and other technical documentation
  • Establish data governance policies and ensure adherence to data quality standards
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR)
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data management capabilities
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts
  • Develop and present data architecture roadmaps to senior management and stakeholders
  • Continuously monitor and optimise data architecture performance and scalability

Qualifications

  • HBO or WO education in IT or a related field
  • Approximately 2 years of experience as a Data Architect
  • TOGAF certification is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of data structures, data mapping, and data modelling techniques (e.g., datavault, dimensional, semantic)
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies and experience with complex data integration problems
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, AI, Data Science, SQL and No-SQL databases, RDF (Linked Data), and Knowledge graphs
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR)
  • Experience with data governance and data quality management practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record in stakeholder and expectation management
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is required
  • Innovative mindset with a vision for leveraging cutting-edge data technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • A permanent contract and a gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €6,000 (based on 40 hours per week). The exact amount depends on your experience and the role;

  • 8% profit sharing on target (or a fixed OTB amount, depending on the role);
