Role Summary

We are seeking a certified and technically proficient Workday Functional Leader to oversee the strategic delivery and hands-on configuration of Absence, Benefits, and Time Tracking modules, with deep expertise in HCM. This role will manage a team of Workday professionals, lead full-cycle implementations, and ensure robust integration across HR, Payroll, and enterprise systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, driving platform optimization, and ensuring the team is trained and aligned with Workday best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

  1. Lead and mentor a team of Workday analysts and functional consultants.
  2. Define and execute the Workday roadmap across Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, and HCM.
  3. Act as the Workday subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, guiding strategic decisions and prioritization.
  4. Ensure team members are Workday-trained and certified, and maintain ongoing professional development.

Technical Delivery

  1. Architect and implement scalable Workday solutions across multiple modules.
  2. Own the full lifecycle of Workday projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  3. Ensure compliance with Workday release management, change control, and governance standards.
  4. Optimize system performance through continuous improvement, automation, and proactive issue resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Peakon, and Adaptive Planning.
  2. Collaborate with integration and reporting teams to ensure data integrity and seamless workflows.
  3. Drive adoption of new Workday features and releases, ensuring readiness and training across impacted teams.

Total Experience Expected: 12-18 years

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  1. Workday certification in Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, or HCM (multiple certifications preferred).
  2. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on Workday configuration and implementation experience.
  3. Proven leadership experience managing Workday teams and delivering enterprise-scale implementations.
  4. Deep expertise in Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, and functional knowledge of HCM.
  5. Experience with at least one additional Workday module such as Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Peakon, or Adaptive Planning.
  6. Strong understanding of Workday security, business process frameworks, and custom report development.
  7. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
  8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in global HRIS environments with complex organizational structures.
  2. Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  3. Background in change management and user adoption strategies.
  4. Experience in developing and delivering Workday training programs internally.
