Position Summary:

This role is responsible for the maintenance of facilities for an assigned facility and/or company retail stores; follow defined procedures and processes relating to repairs and/or replacements of equipment and fixtures. 

Here’s what you’ll do: 

  • Ensure facilities/retail stores meet all safety and code requirements.  
  • Repair and/or replace equipment and fixtures as necessary (i.e., floors, ceiling, walls, doors, cabinets, light bulbs, etc.).  
  • Assist management with special projects as assigned (i.e., remodels, new store openings, etc.).  
  • Maintain well defined processes for repairs and replacement items.  
  • Maintain accurate and timely inventory of parts and equipment.  
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ensure work is completed in a timely manner while keeping associates and customers in mind. 
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. 

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED) 

  • One year experience with a combination of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.  

  • Experience with food equipment strongly preferred. 

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal to communicate and/or document maintenance needs and status of projects.  

  • Basic math, writing and computer skills related to mechanic aptitude/maintenance.  

  • Must have maintenance experience to include carpentry and plumping skills and a basic understanding of environmental issues.  

  • Prior experience in retail maintenance a plus.  

  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work assignments and meet established deadlines.  

  • Must perform assigned tasks accurately and completely.  

  • Must be flexible and able to handle changes in work requirements productively.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls. Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed. While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
