Start Pay: $20/HR

Schedule: 7:00am - 4:00pm (Off Sunday + one other day during the week)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring quality and food safety compliance by monitoring and documenting required checks including chemical levels, product specification, labels, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), temperatures, and operational procedures throughout the entire production process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks with a deep understanding of size, variety, sensitivity, location, and background of products.

  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve quality problems by consulting manuals, conducting thorough inspections, and documenting findings clearly and accurately.

  • Exemplify neatness and care through proper load organization, legible reports and inspection documentation.

  • Safely and effectively operate and maintain essential mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with all facility rules and fostering a safe environment for your team members.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, demonstrating respect for company property and contributing to overall facility cleanliness.

  • Accurately complete essential quality reports, such as Strawberry and Tomato reports, along with any new assignments, ensuring proper follow-up on product rotation and designee work.

  • Review and analyze the status of all pulled products, moving them to Quality Assurance (QA) hold when necessary.

  • Actively communicate any identified warehouse issues or quality concerns directly to your supervisor to ensure prompt resolution.

  • File and verify all QA paperwork according to food safety requirements.

  • Inspect QA carts weekly, report any missing or broken equipment, and notify supervisors of replacement needs.

  • Be an advocate for food safety, consistently striving to provide the safest and highest quality product available to our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred

  • Produce experience strongly preferred

  • Produce inspection training preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk. May be required to travel While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical food production environment and/or distribution setting and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions; temperatures may vary within the work environment. The employee will be exposed to various work environments (i.e., refrigerated/freezer coolers, wet, dry and/or humid) on a frequent basis. The noise level in the work environment varies; food production setting may be low to moderate; distribution center setting may be moderate to high. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
