Role Overview

As a Specialised Artisan at PepsiCo's Epping Bakery, you will be the senior technical expert on site, leading artisans and delivering specialized support in automation and electrical systems. This full-time role demands hands-on expertise in installation, repairs, fault finding, and documentation to ensure seamless bakery operations. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve critical tasks to keep our automated systems running at peak performance:

• Install and configure electrical and automation systems, including industrial PCs, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on automated equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex faults in PLCs, HMIs, robotic systems, and related components.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, such as schematics, control panel designs, and calibration procedures.
• Provide expert technical support to production teams on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and implement process and system improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as our Specialised Artisan, you need proven technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset:

• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, variable speed drives (VSDs), and industrial control components.
• Solid electrical background, including reading, interpreting, and creating schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Proficiency in programming and operating automation software using standard PLC languages.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex system issues.
• Effective communication skills for reporting, documentation, and team collaboration.
• Relevant trade certification or equivalent experience in industrial automation preferred.
