The Specialist II, Tax Accounting role in Pune, India, is a technically robust position offering comprehensive exposure to federal, international, and state tax matters. This full-time, work-from-office opportunity in Kharadi, Pune (2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST shift) involves ASC 740 provisions, FIN 48 analysis, and return preparation for a worldwide group. You'll play a key role in ensuring tax compliance, supporting provisions, and integrating tax accounting with international compliance processes. Ideal for Chartered Accountants or CPAs with 6+ years of experience, this role combines analytical depth with collaboration in a high-growth cybersecurity environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you'll drive critical tax functions with precision and efficiency:

• Responsible for federal domestic, international, and state income and local tax returns, including audit-supported workpapers.
• Prepare workpapers and returns covering E&P, M adjustments, fixed asset roll forwards, state modifications, and apportionment.
• Assist with income tax provision preparation, tax account reconciliations, quarterly payments, and filings.
• Calculate and maintain deferred tax schedules, conduct FIN 48 analysis, and perform return-to-provision reconciliations.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars, documentation, and coordinate with outside advisors for proper filings.
• Support tax accounting team integration, analyze legislation changes, assess operational impacts, and assist with tax planning strategies.
• Handle additional projects as needed, leveraging automation and research skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA, or equivalent degree.
• 6+ years of relevant tax accounting experience, including federal, international, and state taxes.
• Experience with OneSource tax software preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for modeling, with desired automation experience.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, self-initiated research abilities, and confidence in resolving complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
