Role Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking a Sr. AI Scientist for our AI Detection and Response (AIDR) team in a hybrid role based in Sunnyvale, California. This position is for a data scientist and AI researcher with deep expertise in generative models, LLMs, and their application to cybersecurity challenges. You'll architect scalable prototypes, research innovative solutions, and translate complex AI concepts into practical security features that enhance the Falcon platform. Success in this role means delivering high-impact AI capabilities, publishing white papers, speaking at conferences, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive product innovation. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll dive into the forefront of AI research applied to security. Key responsibilities include:

• Researching, designing, and prototyping cutting-edge generative AI solutions to bolster CrowdStrike's AI Detection and Response capabilities.
• Translating complex AI concepts into practical, scalable security features integrated with the Falcon platform.
• Creating, curating, and maintaining high-quality datasets, including data collection pipelines, labeling workflows, and quality assurance processes.
• Conducting experiments to advance existing models, iterating based on feedback, and measuring efficacy.
• Providing detailed design and architecture documents, presenting solutions to diverse audiences, and explaining features in customer contexts.
• Writing deep technical papers for internal and external publication and speaking at conferences and events.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as a Sr. AI Scientist at CrowdStrike, you'll bring:

• 6+ years of combined experience as an ML/AI researcher and practitioner.
• 3+ years building, prototyping, training, and fine-tuning Generative AI features and deep learning models.
• Strong foundational knowledge of generative AI architectures, LLMs, RAG, AI workflows, agentic AI, AI agents, frameworks, MCP, and A2A.
• Expert-level Python proficiency and hands-on experience with PyTorch, CUDA, kernels, and model code layers.
• Proven track record in white paper publishing and conference speaking.
• Bonus: Experience in security companies, AI security, or working on security products.

Success metrics include architecting prototypes, researching solutions, iterating on feedback, and communicating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and customers.
