• Provide on-site design engineering support for High Voltage Battery assemblies and components in Normal, Illinois, spanning launch, SOP, and serial production.

• Lead DFMEA change efforts, ensuring proper linkage to PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Prepare and validate rework plans for battery components and assemblies.
• Coordinate builds for prototype, pilot, and Start of Production activities with stakeholders.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities targeting cost reduction, manufacturing cycle time, and quality enhancements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience in Battery, Automotive, Aerospace, or related industries, plus a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (minimum).
• Hands-on experience with product launches, production schedules, release engineering, CAD design, GD&T, and PLM interfaces.
• Strong communication skills for presentations, technical writing, multitasking, and interpersonal collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving with a focus on first principles and core engineering fundamentals.
• Mechanical engineering background required; electronics/controls experience is a strong plus.
• Passion for electro-mechanical systems, battery behavior, high voltage safety, and root cause investigations via testing/teardowns.
• Proficiency in issue tracking tools (Jira, Trello, Gitlab, Asana, Confluence) and CAN/Ethernet debugging (preferred).
• Bonus: Experience with CATIA V6 (3Dx) CAD and Enovia PLM.
