The Sr. Cloud Security Competitive Intelligence Analyst role at CrowdStrike is a remote, individual-contributor position focused on our cloud security portfolio, including CWPP, CDR, CSPM, CIEM, ASPM, and beyond. You'll partner directly with Product, Sales, and cross-functional leaders to inform roadmap decisions, refine go-to-market strategies, and secure victories in a fast-evolving competitive landscape. Gain deep insights into competitors' technical capabilities, market positioning, and tactics, while uncovering why CrowdStrike triumphs or faces challenges in the field. This high-visibility role scales globally, demanding collaboration with senior leaders in Product, Sales, Marketing, Corporate Strategy, and Investor Relations. Ideal for those with technical cloud cybersecurity expertise and the ability to distill complex analysis into actionable insights.
Gather and formulate guidance from technical, business, field, and external sources. Regularly deliver key takeaways to sales teams and senior leadership through compelling presentations.
Provide an in-depth, evolving analysis of the cloud security market relative to CrowdStrike's Falcon platform solutions. Offer tailored deal support, competitive surgeries, and guidance to build strong field relationships.
Work closely with the Competitive Intelligence team, CTO office, sales, product, and marketing. Serve as the primary liaison for cloud security competition, creating support materials and readiness plans. Recommend sales tactics and product strategies to dominate the market.
Embrace a self-starter mindset to develop project plans, timelines, and content. Track and update the cloud competitive landscape independently.
Perform quantitative and qualitative win/loss analyses to pinpoint reasons behind CrowdStrike's successes and losses against competitors.
To excel in this role, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field. Require minimum 5 years of experience in the cloud security market, emphasizing CNAPP including CSPM, CWPP, and CIEM, plus compliance and cybersecurity risk management. Also, 5 years hands-on with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure. Ideal experience spans at least two areas: sales engineering/pre-sales, competitive intelligence, solution architect, product management, technical marketing, or product marketing.
Proven skills in synthesizing complex technical concepts into actionable field guidance and executive summaries are essential. Superior communication, including presentations to executives, along with excellent people and project management skills for cross-functional collaboration, are non-negotiable.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Security - Specialty, GIAC/CompTIA/ISACA/(ISC)² certifications, infrastructure-as-code familiarity, and direct customer experience enhance your candidacy.
