The Senior Director, Affiliate Safety Excellence, reports to the Executive Director, Patient Safety, and serves as a strategic partner in advancing global pharmacovigilance. This pivotal role shapes the future of patient safety through cross-regional integration, innovative strategies, and cross-functional engagement. Based in Singapore, you will foster partnerships across global and affiliate teams, ensuring agile, aligned, and patient-centered safety practices. As a thought leader, you will influence regulatory evolution and drive forward-looking initiatives in pharmacovigilance excellence.
Develop and implement strategic frameworks to guide regional safety experts, QPPVs, and Affiliate Heads of Patient Safety. Facilitate bidirectional communication between Patient Safety Therapeutic Teams and affiliates, co-creating best practices and harmonized processes across regions.
Conduct horizon scanning on health authorities, industry trends, emerging technologies, and societal shifts. Translate insights into global safety strategies, represent Gilead in external forums like IFPMA, and act as a global ambassador influencing regulatory discussions.
Provide expertise in health literacy strategies to enhance patient engagement with safety information. Embed principles into communications, labeling, and risk mitigation, drawing from patient experience and behavioral science aligned with GVP Module XVI Revision 3.
Promote continuous improvement and innovation in tools, processes, and strategic foresight to future-proof pharmacovigilance across the affiliate network.
Leverage regulatory experience to anticipate agency expectations, interpret complex guidance, and ensure alignment with evolving frameworks through cross-functional collaboration.
Candidates must hold an advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or public health, with 12+ years of experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or regulatory affairs, including global and regional exposure. Proven leadership in external engagement, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration is essential. Expertise in health literacy, patient engagement, or safety communication is highly desirable, alongside strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Previous experience as a health regulator is preferred.
