  • Conduct thorough audits, inspections, and site evaluations to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and local standards.
  • Lead complex operation safety buy-offs (Rivian Safe Tag) and risk assessments, providing expert guidance to mitigate hazards.
  • Monitor leading and lagging EHS indicators, reporting insights to proactively enhance safety measures across sites.
  • Support stakeholders in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain thermal/emergency response plans; train and lead Rivian’s Rapid Response Teams (3RT).
  • Act as incident commander, first responder, or safety officer during emergencies, delivering clear direction to teams and responders.
  • Review employee safety concerns, chemical inventories, and new purchases for EHS impacts, including PPE and Industrial Hygiene assessments.
  • Coach and mentor site teams, establish safety committees, and lead Gemba walks for continuous improvement.
  • Obtain certifications to train in Red Cross First Aid/CPR, Powered Industrial Vehicles, and crane operations.

Collaborate with internal EHS experts like Lead Specialists and Industrial Hygienists to align practices with Rivian policies and regulations.
