Key Responsibilities at Rivian

  • Derive logical schematics from device transmittals (DT/ICDs), JAMA requirements, and Vehicle Architecture inputs.
  • Develop complexity matrices for all harness families, including region/circuit variants, trims, and options.
  • Review connector/terminal selection and cavity layouts with DREs and Librarians.
  • Specify wire sizes/types for ampacity, voltage drop, cost optimization, supporting cross-functional design intent.
  • Support assembly lines for design implementation, issue tracking, and closure.
  • Coordinate with TPMs on timing plans and changes across 2D/3D/Systems organizations.
  • Ensure Design Release Engineers complete all pre-production, production, and post-production deliverables.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 3+ years in wire harness technology or electrical wiring systems development.
  • Experience with Capital Harness Suite, Jira, Jama, Smartsheet, Confluence is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, specialty cables, and new EV technologies.
  • Fluent in English with strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Self-driven with initiative, patience, kindness, and positive mental attitude.
