Role Overview

As a Sr. Engineer - Cloud on the Counter Adversary Operations (CAO) team in Bucharest, Romania (hybrid), you'll architect infrastructure for CrowdStrike's next-generation malware analysis ecosystem. Power four cutting-edge products: Falcon Sandbox's evasion-resistant environments, QuickScan Pro's high-throughput pipelines, Falcon MalQuery's multi-petabyte search across 3.5+ billion samples, and the intelligent Malware Analysis Agent for instant attribution and automated rules.

Tackle massive scale challenges in real-time petabyte processing and distributed workflows, delivering direct mission impact to help security analysts worldwide combat sophisticated adversaries. Collaborate with passionate security researchers and engineers in an agile, high-trust environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Scale Infrastructure

Work on backend microservices, from researching concerns to implementing solutions. Leverage CrowdStrike tools and services to create cloud-based systems detecting targeted attacks.

Collaborate and Innovate

Brainstorm, research, define, communicate, and build with cross-team members. Stay committed to learning, improving, and focusing on customer challenges.

Ensure Code Quality

Emphasize best practices, testing, logging, and metrics. Mentor developers on web, backend, and data storage tech. Own work autonomously to enhance architecture, performance, and stability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Skills

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. 7+ years as a Software Engineer with deep knowledge of scalability concepts like sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.

Professional Qualities

Team player thriving in test-driven, collaborative, iterative environments. Master engineering best practices: testing paradigms, peer reviews, resilient architecture. Deliver high-quality, unit-tested, reviewed code for continuous integration on time.

Tech Stack

In-depth knowledge not required—ramp-up ability is key: Go (Golang), Docker, Kubernetes, AWS (Redis/S3/EC2/IAM), Kafka, GIT, Cassandra, Elasticsearch.
