Role Overview

CrowdStrike seeks an experienced Sr. Engineer, Cloud Native - AI Detection and Response (AIDR) for our hybrid role in Sunnyvale, California. Join the AIDR Cloud team to architect and build next-generation services processing millions of AI security events per second and managing petabytes of critical AI data. Tackle unprecedented scale with cutting-edge cloud technologies, directly impacting global organizations against sophisticated AI-based threats. This hybrid position requires 2-3 days per week on-site, blending collaboration with flexibility in our remote-first culture.

  • Design and implement highly scalable microservices, frameworks, and platform components.
  • Develop comprehensive tests emphasizing reliability, accuracy, and performance.
  • Conduct thorough code and design reviews prioritizing testability, security, and scalability.
  • Integrate seamlessly with the CrowdStrike ecosystem of services and APIs, leveraging the Falcon platform.
  • Drive root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Mentor team members on secure coding practices, testing methodologies, and cloud-native development.

Qualifications & Requirements

To thrive, bring proven expertise in high-scale environments:

  • 10+ years of software development experience building enterprise-grade products.
  • 5+ years developing microservices in cloud-native environments.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
  • Expertise in cloud-native languages: Go, Python, or Java.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architectures, microservices, REST/gRPC/Protocol Buffers, PostgreSQL/Redis, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS/OCI/GCP/Azure.
  • Proven debugging skills for complex distributed systems and experience with cloud monitoring tools.

Bonus Qualifications

Stand out with cybersecurity experience, AI/ML security knowledge, real-time processing (Kafka/Pulsar), open-source contributions, or hands-on with OCI/GCP/Azure, Golang, and highly scalable AWS services.
