Role Overview

As a Sr. Engineer - Content on the Falcon For IT product team in Bangalore, India, you'll create and maintain a global library of IT automation scripts deployed to millions of endpoints worldwide. This isn't typical systems administration; it's engineering tools that thousands of IT teams rely on for infrastructure management. If you've automated repetitive tasks, scripted across thousands of servers, and understand production-scale reliability—beyond 'works on my laptop'—this role is your fit. Author native OS scripts in PowerShell, Bash, Zsh, Python automation, OSQuery queries, and build visualization dashboards solving real-world IT challenges like health monitoring, inventory, compliance, and remediation. Your work powers Falcon For IT, our cloud-based platform revolutionizing IT and security operations with AI-powered endpoint insights.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Production-Grade Automation

Author scripts for Windows (PowerShell), Linux (Bash), and macOS (Zsh) that execute safely at massive scale across millions of endpoints globally. Focus on efficiency to avoid impacting user productivity on resource-constrained devices.

Build Comprehensive IT Content

Create content for system health checks, inventory collection, performance monitoring, compliance validation, remediation tasks, and more, directly addressing customer pain points in IT operations.

Design Dashboards and Visualizations

Leverage CrowdStrike's Next-Gen SIEM and LogScale/Humio to build intuitive dashboards displaying metrics and data from your scripts, enabling instant insights.

Optimize and Validate

Design cross-platform solutions where feasible, optimize for performance (e.g., .NET calls vs. cmdlets, efficient loops), conduct code reviews, testing, and security analysis. Source and validate third-party content to CrowdStrike standards.

Collaborate and Maintain Pipelines

Work with IT operations and engineering teams to translate real-world problems into scalable automation. Maintain content publication pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS services, and automated testing.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel, bring 8+ years of systems administration with a heavy focus on automation/scripting in Windows, Linux, or macOS. For Windows: advanced PowerShell 5.1+ scripting, deep internals knowledge (registry, services, event logs, WMI/CIM, Active Directory, Group Policy). For Linux: portable Bash scripting across RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian; expertise in systemd, package managers, process management. macOS Zsh experience is key. Proficiency in Python, OSQuery, Git, VSCode, CI/CD, and performance-safe scripting practices. Familiarity with AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2) is a plus. You thrive on scale, solving problems once for global deployment.
