CrowdStrike is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Infrastructure for our AI Detection and Response (AIDR) Cloud team in Sunnyvale, California. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days per week on-site. You'll architect and build next-generation AIDR services handling millions of AI security events per second and managing petabytes of critical data. Work at unprecedented scale with cutting-edge cloud technologies, directly impacting global organizations against sophisticated AI-based threats. Success means architecting enterprise-grade solutions scaling from thousands to millions of requests per second, building reusable libraries, driving operational excellence, and collaborating across teams for top-tier security and reliability.
In this role, you'll design and implement highly scalable microservices, frameworks, and platform components. Develop comprehensive tests emphasizing reliability, accuracy, and performance. Conduct thorough code and design reviews prioritizing testability, security, and scalability. Seamlessly integrate with the CrowdStrike ecosystem of services and APIs. Drive root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures. Mentor team members on secure coding practices, testing methodologies, and cloud-native development. Contribute to operational excellence through rapid issue resolution and proactive improvements.
To excel, you need 10+ years of software development experience building enterprise-grade products and 5+ years developing microservices in cloud-native environments. Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems are essential. Expertise in at least one cloud-native language like Go, Python, or Java is required. Deep understanding of cloud architectures, microservices, REST/gRPC/Protocol Buffers, data stores like PostgreSQL or Redis, container tech like Docker/Kubernetes, and deployment to AWS, OCI, GCP, or Azure. Proven debugging skills for complex distributed systems, plus experience with cloud monitoring tools, GPU cluster management, and Grafana dashboards.
Stand out with cybersecurity experience, knowledge of AI/ML security threats, real-time data processing (Kafka, Pulsar), open-source contributions, or hands-on work in OCI, GCP, or Azure.
