Role Overview

Join CrowdStrike's Europe-based Global Query Engine cloud team as a Sr. Engineering Manager (Hybrid, Bucharest, Romania). Lead highly skilled engineers building in-house components enabling partners to access and join data from SQL/NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Go. This hybrid role demands hands-on cloud expertise and proven leadership in people and projects. Qualifications & Requirements

Core Requirements

Hold 5+ years of hands-on management building core engineering teams and 10+ years across the full software development lifecycle. Demonstrate broad distributed systems knowledge, including API development, and solid expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Exhibit passion for design, problem-solving, quality, security, performance, and engineering best practices. MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Essential Soft Skills

Excel in team management, mentorship, verbal/written communication, and global collaboration. Bonus for query optimization, complex GraphQL APIs, ETL processes, data security, and multi-store query performance monitoring.
