Position Summary

Join our dynamic Data Engineering team as a Sr. ETL Developer at Sonoco Performance Hub, India. This critical role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives across our global enterprise. As a senior contributor, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex ETL workflows using industry-leading tools like Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or similar platforms
• Develop and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for large-scale data warehouses
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with governance standards throughout the ETL lifecycle
• Performance tune ETL jobs and troubleshoot production issues to maintain SLAs
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices in data engineering

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development with enterprise-grade tools
• Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar for data processing
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable
• Proven ability to handle big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark is a plus
