Role Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Sr. Lead Counsel - Employment Litigation to join our Employment Legal team. This remote role, ideally suited for candidates near Austin, TX; Sunnyvale, CA; Arlington, VA; or Dallas, TX, reports to the VP, Legal - Employment. As a strategic thinker and problem-solver, you will manage employment-related litigation and arbitration, guide outside counsel, and advise senior management and business teams. Play a pivotal role in protecting our innovative workforce while aligning legal strategies with CrowdStrike's cybersecurity mission to stop breaches using the Falcon platform.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation and Arbitration Management

Oversee all phases of employment matters, from pre-litigation disputes and discovery to motions, trials, arbitration hearings, settlements, and appeals. Ensure efficient resolution that minimizes disruption to our remote-first operations.

Strategy Development

Collaborate with internal legal teams and business leaders to craft arbitration and litigation strategies that mitigate risks, reflect our legal risk profile, and support strategic objectives in the fast-paced cybersecurity landscape.

Outside Counsel Coordination

Engage and direct external counsel for optimal, cost-effective outcomes. Review billing to stay within budgets, maintaining fiscal responsibility amid our growth.

Internal Investigations

Lead investigations into workplace issues like discrimination, harassment, and wage disputes, advising on arbitration versus litigation paths.

Regulatory Compliance and Collaboration

Monitor federal, state, and local employment laws, especially arbitration agreements. Partner with HR, finance, and operations for proactive legal counsel in our global, remote-first environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing, or eligibility for in-house licensure. Require 7+ years in employment litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, including single-plaintiff claims, wage/hour disputes, and class actions. Expertise in employment law, arbitration procedures (clauses, arbitrator selection), and regulatory compliance is essential. Strong communication skills to convey complex issues to non-legal stakeholders, independence in a dynamic setting, and a pragmatic approach balancing risks with commercial needs are key. Develop standardized processes from complaint to resolution. Bonus for international arbitration, first/second-chair litigation, internal investigations expertise, or PAGA experience. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and travel willingness required.
