Role Overview

The Sr. Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift position at Cardinal Health's Chicopee facility is pivotal for maintaining seamless production operations in our regulated medical device environment. Working Monday-Friday from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, you'll ensure equipment uptime, troubleshoot complex issues, and support compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and DEP regulations. This senior role offers independence, leadership opportunities, and involvement in new equipment installations and validations. Key Responsibilities

As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, your role demands precision and proactivity:

• Execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on manufacturing machinery, facility systems, and process piping.
• Troubleshoot root causes in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, using tools like multi-meters, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain detailed records in our CMMS system, updating PM procedures as needed.
• Install and test new machinery, support upgrades, and assist with IQ/OQ/PQ validations for new product trials.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure GMP and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior technicians, coordinate external contractors, and manage spare parts inventory.
• Utilize machining equipment such as lathes, band saws, and drill presses; interpret schematics and technical drawings.

On-call and weekend rotations ensure 24/7 operational excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek seasoned professionals with:

• 5-10 years in maintenance within regulated manufacturing, preferably healthcare.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Expertise in troubleshooting motors, drives, pumps, valves, chains, belts.
• Proficiency with multi-meters, measuring instruments, and forklift/manlift operation.
• Familiarity with NFPA, NEMA, ASTM, ASME codes.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, providing guidance to teams.
