Role Overview

Join CrowdStrike as a Sr. Manager, Kubernetes in a hybrid role based in Sunnyvale, California, with flexibility for our Austin, TX; Redmond, WA; or New York City, NY offices (2-3 days/week). Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll drive the Kubernetes team's success across multiple cloud vendors and private data centers. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring all clusters and required software remain up to date efficiently.
  • Leading daily scrums to track projects, tasks, and explosive growth responses.
  • Conducting routine capacity planning to stay proactive amid scaling demands.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-reduction opportunities without compromising performance.
  • Partnering with senior leadership, VPs, and individual contributors to craft an adaptive roadmap aligned with CrowdStrike engineers' needs.
  • Growing the global team through strategic hiring and hands-on technical contributions.
  • Collaborating on professional growth plans for team members, providing technical guidance on add-ons, tooling, and deployments.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as Sr. Manager, Kubernetes, bring:

  • 4+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience as the primary platform for services.
  • Proficiency with Cilium, Cluster Autoscaler, KEDA, Flux, and Gateway API.
  • Solid grasp of monitoring, alerting strategies, and noise reduction techniques.
  • Proven experience managing remote teams across U.S. and European time zones.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate crisply from engineers to VPs.
