The Sr People Business Partner - Atlantic role at PepsiCo in Bedford, NS, is pivotal for driving HR excellence in field sales operations. This position demands a seasoned HR professional with deep business acumen, labour relations expertise, and the agility to navigate unionized settings. You'll serve as a strategic advisor to operations leaders, championing talent development, employee advocacy, and cultural transformation. Commuting between Bedford and Dartmouth, NS, you'll ensure seamless HR support across sites, blending strategic vision with tactical execution to boost organizational health.
In this role, you'll strategically lead and execute HR initiatives aligned with PepsiCo’s vision. Key duties include partnering with operations leaders to design talent strategies, including campus recruiting and external outreach. You'll manage employee and labour relations, acting as an advocate in dispute resolution and grievance processes. Coaching leaders and frontline employees on policies, collective bargaining agreements, performance management, and succession planning is central. Additionally, you'll spearhead Diversity, Inclusion & Equity efforts, leverage data analytics for solutions, and ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment laws.
Act as the key business partner to operations, translating business needs into HR actions while building internal and external relationships.
Develop site-level strategies to enhance organizational health, culture, and capability building in ambiguous, high-priority scenarios.
Success requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Labour Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a related field. Prior 3-5 years of HR generalist and leadership experience, ideally supporting frontline employees in fast-paced, field-based, unionized environments, is essential. Proven expertise in administering collective agreements, facilitating grievances, and influencing leaders is critical. Strong communication, strategic thinking, and comfort with tough decisions in ambiguous situations set top candidates apart. French language skills are a plus, as is the ability to commute between Bedford and Dartmouth, NS.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, use data-driven insights, and foster credible relationships across management and frontline teams.
