Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As a Sr. Remanufacturing Technician, you'll drive Rivian's remanufacturing excellence through these core duties:

• Conduct technical analysis and initial triage of field return parts from Rivian Service Centers.
• Actively support and develop remanufacturing processes, from launch to future deployments.
• Perform part receiving tests, repairs, and end-of-line tests across all complexity levels.
• Document issues, prioritize, and escalate to cross-functional teams for root cause resolution.
• Disassemble and reassemble EV components while accurately recording reliability data.
• Meet production goals and support campaign/containment activities without compromising safety.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in standard methods.
• Collaborate with field service, production, and product development teams to enhance organizational learning.
• Maintain a safe, organized 5S working environment and embody team spirit in dynamic settings.
• Provide additional plant support, including potential travel, as business needs arise.

Expect to switch to production-oriented mindsets during high-volume periods and support alternate shifts.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as Rivian's Sr. Remanufacturing Technician, bring these qualifications:

• Automotive Technology Degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2-4 years in roles like Engineering Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or mechanical/electrical production.
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical power transmission (gears, bearings, lash, lubrication) and EV powertrains.
• Understanding of high/low voltage circuits, electric motors, and HV batteries.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication and organization skills; detail-oriented with big-picture thinking.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR (no drug/alcohol incidents in 3 years, ≤1 serious violation).
• Physical stamina: stand 8-10 hours, lift 50 lbs, work in dust/noise/extremes.
