Role Overview

The Sr. Route Salesman position in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a pivotal role within PepsiCo's sales team. This full-time opportunity focuses on maximizing sales volume, minimizing stales, achieving distribution targets, implementing merchandising standards, collecting accounts receivable, and delivering exceptional customer service. Operating from Jeddah, you'll follow standardized procedures to ensure consistency across KSA operations. You'll provide market insights to your supervisor, attend training for professionalism, and participate in daily debriefings. Key Responsibilities

As Sr. Route Salesman, your core duties include:

  • Selling the full range of PepsiCo products to an agreed customer list, measured against sales targets while keeping stales below agreed levels.
  • Delivering supervisor-approved service with precise call frequency and daily route adherence, reviewed in debriefs.
  • Conducting daily and weekly vehicle checks, maintaining cleanliness and roadworthiness, and reporting issues promptly.
  • Agreeing on order requirements daily and managing customer stock to prevent out-of-stocks.
  • Implementing in-store merchandising standards, coordinating with merchandisers as needed.
  • Reporting competitor activities during daily debriefs.
  • Reconciling cash, cheques, and credit sales daily with zero shortages.
  • Maintaining professional grooming, high driving standards, and regulatory compliance.

Performance is tracked via KPIs like sales vs. plan, positive calls, call sequence, stales, and zero shortages. Consistent underperformance may lead to disciplinary action.

Daily Operations

Expect a structured day starting with vehicle checks, route planning, customer visits, merchandising, and ending with debriefs and reconciliations. This hands-on role ensures PepsiCo's products shine on shelves across Jeddah.
