Role Overview

The Sr. SDET - Falcon Cloud Security role in Pune, India, positions you as a key leader in the Falcon Cloud Security Runtime engineering team. Falcon Cloud Security comprises a sensor installed on cloud workloads for real-time malicious behavior detection and prevention, alongside a cloud component that aggregates telemetry for prioritized threat summaries. This senior position focuses on designing and developing test infrastructure, automated tools, and test suites for sensors on Linux distros, containerized, and serverless environments, especially in Kubernetes orchestration. You'll ensure quality standards for seamless visibility, detection, and prevention, participating in technical designs while collaborating with distributed development teams.

In this leadership role, you'll provide technical guidance within the Falcon Cloud Security SDET team across private/public clouds and workloads like VMs, containers, and serverless functions.

  • Develop automation infrastructure, build tools, drive test strategies, mentor engineers, and champion quality outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot complex test/tooling issues and lead projects improving Cloud Security runtime sensors.
  • Participate in best practices: secure coding, testing paradigms, debugging, performance, code reviews, CI/CD, and OS internals for fast, reliable sensor code.
  • Work closely with development to design/implement test strategies and suites for new capabilities, boosting automated coverage and release velocity.
  • Lead initiatives on containers/orchestrators security in clouds, collaborate with release engineering for timely, high-quality sensor releases, and partner with multi-functional global teams.
