Role Overview

As a Sr. Software Engineer - Frontend in the Revenue Management Domain at Choice Hotels, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing legacy systems and delivering cutting-edge software solutions. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, this individual contributor position reports to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering. You will collaborate with a team of five peers and cross-functional departments to support applications that enable business partners to onboard hotels, maintain data, and distribute rate plans for brands like Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, and Radisson. Key Responsibilities

Your impact will be felt across the software development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include serving as a lead engineer for enterprise system enhancements, leading the coding phase with expert proficiency in modern frontend technologies, and collaborating with QA teams for rigorous testing. You will provide primary support during production rollouts, resolve major incidents with on-call operations support, and enhance site reliability to ensure high availability. Additionally, you will contribute to tool selection for design, debugging, monitoring, and security, while analyzing third-party systems for seamless integrations.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek analytical professionals with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates must have at least 5 years in software development, focusing on highly transactional, mission-critical applications in heterogeneous environments. Expert-level proficiency in React.JS, Next.JS, Tailwind, TypeScript, React Testing Library, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required. Strong knowledge of software design principles, Node.JS, web services (REST/SOAP), SQL (Oracle/MSSQL), and source control (GIT) is essential. Nice-to-haves include Shadcn, React Query, Spring, Java 17+, and AI tools like GitHub Copilot. Exceptional communication skills and resilience are key competencies.
