Role Overview

As a Sr. Systems Engineer in our Production Infrastructure Engineering team in Bangalore, India, you'll architect and manage production systems environments at massive scale. This full-time role demands expertise in bare metal orchestration, Linux administration, Kubernetes, and automation to support CrowdStrike's mission-critical infrastructure. Ideal for seasoned engineers passionate about optimizing high-traffic systems that underpin the Falcon platform's breach prevention capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate technical resources to drive internal and external projects to successful completion.
• Analyze complex business requirements and develop innovative technical solutions.
• Conduct regular project meetings to tackle challenges and hit milestones, reporting status to leadership.
• Deeply understand systems architecture and recommend enhancements for scalability and efficiency.
• Act as a technical leader, providing direction on projects, discovery, and problem management.
• Manage large-scale deployments of servers and applications in internal data centers.
• Write moderate to complex scripts in Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, or Go for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alarms.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, you need 7+ years of engineering experience, preferably in production environments. Core expertise includes:

• Leading projects from inception to delivery.
• Bare metal orchestration like OpenStack or Canonical MaaS.
• Linux engineering and administration across thousands of bare metal and virtual machines.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Virtualization technologies such as OpenStack Nova or VMWare ESXi.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, or Salt.

Bonus points for knowledge of DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP protocols; OSI model; block storage (TrueNAS, Ceph); monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix); or threat intelligence. Demonstrate self-learning in fast-paced settings, cross-functional collaboration across global teams, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Expect 2-3 business trips yearly for team meetings.
