The Sr Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology position at Gilead Sciences supports the Seattle, Washington territory. This critical role focuses on representing Gilead's oncology portfolio, generating sales, and ensuring patient access to transformative cancer therapies. Ideal for seasoned sales professionals with oncology experience, particularly in breast cancer, this position offers the chance to influence key opinion leaders (KOLs), navigate complex reimbursement landscapes, and contribute to Gilead's mission in oncology. As a senior specialist, you'll operate with autonomy, partnering cross-functionally to exceed sales targets and promote safe, effective product use.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the Seattle territory to achieve and surpass sales goals. Monitor progress, adjust action plans, and consistently generate growth for Gilead's oncology products.
Promote assigned products to targeted oncologists, office staff, and key accounts. Conduct in-services to ensure safe drug administration and raise awareness of Gilead's patient services suite.
Identify patient pathways within oncology offices and facilitate access to Gilead treatments, addressing complex reimbursement issues in hospitals and large accounts.
Establish strong business relationships with customers, accounts, and KOLs. Represent Gilead at professional events, leveraging strong communication and influence skills.
Partner with Medical Scientists, Marketing, and Market Access teams on projects to drive sales and patient adoption. Assist in issue resolution and proactive communication with management.
6+ years of relevant experience with a BS/BA degree, or 4+ years with an MS/MA. A valid driver's license is required.
Minimum 7 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, with prior product launch experience. Oncology therapy expertise, especially breast cancer, is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate superior selling skills in competitive markets, aptitude for scientific information, strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities, and proven account planning. Self-motivation, autonomy, and familiarity with industry trends are essential.
