Role Overview

As a Sr. Vulnerability Detection Engineer in the Exposure Management group at CrowdStrike, you'll be an Individual Contributor driving the research, development, and delivery of host and network vulnerability assessment detections for the Falcon platform. This hybrid role in Sunnyvale, California, involves close collaboration with internal teams and product management to define and enhance vulnerability detection capabilities. You'll detect, track, report, and prioritize vulnerabilities on assets, leveraging your expertise in exposure management and threat detection pipelines. With strong communication skills, you'll bridge executive leadership and engineering teams in a distributed environment.

Participate in company thought leadership on prevalent vulnerabilities and risk-based vulnerability management. Ensure vulnerability data discovery and validation for maximum efficacy and accuracy. Work with multifunctional teams across locations, including product management and engineering. Lead and manage additional projects to advance Exposure Management capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates need a minimum of ten years of experience as an Individual Contributor in cybersecurity, with management and leadership experience as a plus. Demonstrate hands-on ability and desire to empower peers while collaborating across functional areas. Develop, coordinate, and execute engineering roadmaps with crisp communication at all levels. Thrive in distributed teams using Agile processes. Possess programming/scripting knowledge in Python, Perl, or Golang for task automation. Commit to working from our Sunnyvale, CA offices 2 days per week.

Deep understanding of vulnerabilities, mitigations, remediations, and prioritization models. Experience with security/vulnerability detection development, validation workflows, and vulnerability management products.
