Role Overview

The SRE Solution Architect role at PepsiCo in Hyderabad is at the heart of our Digital Transformation initiative. This position focuses on architecting and sustaining an SRE orchestration platform for over 200+ digital applications. Reporting to the SRE Practice Associate Director, you will pioneer shift-left SRE practices, integrating reliability engineering into application design from the ground up. With expertise in both traditional on-prem and modern cloud-native architectures, you'll preempt anomalies, automate remediation, and minimize business impact, ultimately delighting customers through proactive incident prevention and seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

As SRE Solution Architect, you will:

• Drive SRE Engineering activities within application design, building an orchestration platform for seamless detect, diagnose, and recover operations.
• Refine and deliver requirements for service enhancements and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) in collaboration with product engineering, solution architecture, and key stakeholders.
• Lead as a technical authority in the global digital products team, optimizing operations and building product resiliency.
• Define, collect, and analyze data on product systems and interactions to enhance business process resiliency, focusing on customer satisfaction, revenue, and IT productivity.
• Operate in a dynamic landscape of evolving product offerings, delivering first-class service while working closely with customer-facing support teams to provide SRE insights.
• Participate in on-call rotations, orchestrate blameless post-mortems, and promote these practices organization-wide.
• Actively champion AI Ops adoption to revolutionize team capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• 11-15 years of progressive experience, evolving into an SRE Engineer, with 3-5 years focused on transforming IT operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven track record as SRE and DevOps expert in designing event diagnostics, performance measures, and alerting solutions aligned with SLA/SLO/SLIs.
• Quantitative mindset with strong judgment to connect ecosystem dots and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Deep expertise in SRE principles, ITSM processes, Python, SQL/NoSQL (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL), AppDynamics, ELK Stack, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, Kafka, and SRE toolsets.
• Solid understanding of cloud architectures in distributed environments, including Azure/AWS.
• Hands-on with front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular/Vue.js) and back-end technologies (Java, Spring Boot, APIs, databases).
• Bonus: Experience shaping SRE transformations.
