• Oversee DOE studies to boost performance robustness, collaborating with testing teams for simulation validation.
• Influence packaging of occupant protection systems, partnering with interior, restraint, and structural safety teams.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth in automotive safety.
• Engage cross-functional groups to ensure unwavering compliance with safety standards.
• Develop innovative methodologies and automation tools for enhanced CAE efficiency.
• Serve as the primary interface for safety-related design changes and performance enhancements.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel as a Staff Occupant Safety Engineer at Rivian, you need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years experience in automotive safety, vehicle testing, or system integration.
• Hands-on CAE experience with LS-DYNA required.
