Join the Applied AI design team in our New York office, collaborating with Design Systems on AI UI patterns and contributing to Datadog's Agentic AI vision alongside fellow Staff Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead end-to-end product design from sketching and prototyping to production for the Bits AI User Assistant Agent
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to understand customer observability needs
• Prototype advanced interactions using Figma, Framer, Protopie across desktop, mobile, and Slack environments
• Conduct user research and apply design best practices to enhance AI experiences for incident response and workflow automation
• Build and maintain Figma UI Toolkit for conversational AI experiences used company-wide
• Partner with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and QA designs before shipping
• Communicate design strategy compellingly to build buy-in across product teams and the entire company
• Innovate on Agentic AI – design novel UX patterns pushing boundaries of observability and DevOps tools
• Facilitate workshops and give/receive feedback to elevate team design quality

Qualifications & Requirements

We're seeking a 10+ year digital product design veteran passionate about AI's transformative potential for cloud monitoring and observability:

• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end project ownership with top-tier visual design and interaction mastery
• Deep curiosity about emerging AI technologies and human-computer interaction evolution
• Proven ability to tell compelling design stories and build cross-functional consensus
• Mastery of Figma and prototyping tools (Framer, Protopie) for complex multi-platform experiences
• Experience thriving in fast-paced SaaS/B2B startup environments with systems thinking + action bias
• Bonus: Portfolio pieces showcasing AI/LLM design experience in enterprise software
