Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead exploratory and conceptual work informing the next generation of the DRUIDS design system for Datadog's observability platform.
• Set and evolve Datadog’s system-level visual design direction, crafting new patterns, visual languages, and interaction models optimized for cloud monitoring UIs.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives modernizing design system tooling, infrastructure, and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate DevOps productivity.
• Partner with Design Systems engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation, superior code quality, and seamless handoff to front-end teams using React and CSS.
• Align product visuals with Datadog’s broader brand language, ensuring consistency across APM, logs, dashboards, and security products.
• Translate bold exploratory visuals into scalable, production-ready system patterns that support rapid iteration in cloud environments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 10+ years in product design, with at least 3+ years specializing in design systems, infrastructure, or visual platforms.
• Demonstrated success driving major re-brands or visual refreshes for products with mature, enterprise-scale design systems.
• Proven ability to align stakeholders and shape design vision across multiple product teams in high-growth tech environments.
• Exceptional portfolio highlighting superior design craft in product/platform work, plus shipped design systems (components, libraries, UX patterns).
