Job Summary

As an Associate in Client Approval and Review, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and thorough evaluation of client onboarding and ongoing review processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage client documentation and compliance requirements, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained efficiently and accurately. Your attention to detail and ability to collaborate across teams will contribute directly to the integrity of Standard Chartered’s client relationships and adherence to regulatory standards.

This position is based in Central, Hong Kong, and operates primarily in an office setting with full-time working hours. The role requires a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning to effectively manage evolving compliance landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed reviews of client onboarding documentation to confirm compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers and risk teams to facilitate smooth client approval processes.
  • Monitor and update client information for periodic reviews, ensuring documentation remains current and complete.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately to maintain high standards of governance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy within the client approval workflow.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive records of review outcomes and approval decisions.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and bank policies to effectively support compliance requirements.
