Job Description: 

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) Director to join our DPM team in Dubai. This role will be pivotal in driving the sales and servicing of our DPM solutions, with a key focus on client engagement, collaborating with our Relationship Managers, and ensuring compliance within the DPM business. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of investment management, a strong track record in selling DPM to Ultra Hight Net Worth (UHNW) /Family Offices, and is determined to establish DPM as a core offering within our Private Bank in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of the DPM business by collaborating with Relationship Managers to identify, pitch, and onboard new DPM clients. Act as a subject matter expert for our DPM offerings, ensuring that RMs and clients understand the value proposition.
  • Provide ongoing after-sales service to DPM clients, ensuring that their portfolios are aligned with their financial goals and risk profiles. Address client queries, conduct periodic portfolio reviews, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for Relationship Managers to enhance their understanding of DPM products. Equip RMs with the tools and knowledge they need to confidently recommend DPM solutions to clients.
  • Act as a liaison between the DPM team and the Private Bank, ensuring that client needs are communicated effectively to portfolio managers. Support the portfolio management team with client feedback and market intelligence.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, investment opportunities, and changes in the regulatory environment. Provide insights and updates to both clients and internal teams on the performance and strategy of DPM portfolios.
  • Ensure the DPM business complies with applicable internal and external regulatory requirements. Monitor and manage risks in line with the firm’s risk management framework. Work closely with compliance teams to address regulatory matters as they pertain to DPM operations
  • Stay updated on global market trends, regulatory changes, and investment opportunities that may impact DPM portfolios and strategies.
  • Contribute to internal projects aimed at improving the DPM offering, client experience, or operational efficiency.
  • Represent the DPM business at client meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote the firm's expertise in discretionary portfolio management.

Qualifications

•    Experience: Experience in DPM sales or portfolio management, preferably in a Private Banking context.
•    Education: University degree in finance, economics, or related. CFA qualification is an advantage.
•    Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, and financial markets. 
•    Mindset: Self-starter with a strong drive to shape and develop the role and deliver required sales results while maintaining excellent collaboration.
