Audit Intern 2026
Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent function supporting the Standard Chartered Board and Executive Management team. We do this by helping protect the Group's assets, reputation, and sustainability. GIA represents the Bank’s third line of defence, we also provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of the management control of business activities (the first line), and the control of processes maintained by risk frameworks and policy owners (the second line).

Our Internship Programme gives you the opportunity to gain first-hand experience working on real-world problems, hone your skills, create lasting relationships, gain insights, and discover your strengths. Throughout the programme, you'll acquire the skills for immediate success, as well as understand what's required for the future as our industry and your career evolve. Through this immersive programme, you'll learn about our Group Internal Audit (GIA) team and the processes, people and roles. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of what a career within the GIA team could look like.
Your programme will include:
As an GIA Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of data analytics in internal auditing. You will work closely with the Internal Audit team to assess and enhance our internal controls, identify potential risks, and contribute to the overall improvement of our processes
