Job Description

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

As Stripe continues to develop innovative products that serve businesses of all sizes around the world, risk will increase in complexity and scale. The User Risk Strategy team protects and advances Stripe’s business, brand and mission, by deploying industry-leading supportability solutions that instill user and partner trust in Stripe, whilst enabling progressive and sustainable business growth.

What you’ll do

As a member of the User Risk Strategy team, you’ll lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen trust, minimize risk, and support Stripe’s most strategic users. You’ll partner with Risk, Product, Partnerships, Legal, Sales, and Data Science to design scalable solutions that improve Stripe’s controls and user experience.

This role blends program execution, risk expertise, and user engagement. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and directly with executives and strategic customers to anticipate risk, reduce friction, and drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, planning, and orchestration of large-scale programs addressing user, compliance, and platform needs.
  • Build strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders (internal and external) to align on priorities, tradeoffs and success measures.
  • Represent Stripe with critical partners and customers in external engagements.
  • Translate complex risk issues into clear, actionable insights for leadership and users.
  • Monitor program performance, deliver executive-ready reporting, and leverage insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to strategic users while upholding compliance and platform integrity.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of program management experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives (structuring programs, managing stakeholders, setting milestones, and executing at scale).
  • Proven experience in user-facing and executive-facing roles, with strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, adept at both working-level and exec-level interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to clarify ambiguity, guide decisions, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Experience designing and implementing risk strategies and solutions, partnering across product, engineering, operations, policy, and GTM/account teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build partnerships across functions in fast-paced, high-growth, or global environments.
  • Self-starter, comfortable navigating ambiguity, with a track record of driving ambitious goals independently and with rigor.
  • Entrepreneurial, curious, and user-first mindset, with a strong desire to innovate and reduce friction.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, payments or fintech industries or a related role (risk, compliance, legal, consulting) with proven success in translating complex regulatory or technical concepts into practical action plans and user guidance
  • Background in platforms, marketplaces, SaaS infrastructure, or global onboarding/risk requirements
