Role Overview

The Supply & Inventory Planning Planner role within Nike's Asia Pacific/Latin America (APLA) Supply & Inventory Management (S&IM) team is pivotal for ensuring profitable growth through responsible supply chain management. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, this position supports seasonal planning and execution for a specific Territory, acting as the primary contact for supply planning and purchasing. You'll evaluate risks, seize opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize inventory and delivery processes. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll drive operational excellence across Nike's supply chain. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the twice-monthly delivery planning process to ensure all materials are planned and purchased on time.
  • Executing and managing supply commitments by creating purchase orders (POs), maintaining changes, and ensuring product flows from factory to distribution center (DC) as expected.
  • Conducting proactive analysis on core metrics such as PIFOT (Percentage In Full On Time), Coverage, and Unplanned to identify challenges and support flow optimization decisions (M1/M2/M3) for the Mexico Territory.
  • Driving actions to maintain healthy inventory positions, escalating issues that could lead to unfulfilled demand or delays, and participating in unplanned resolution processes with mitigations like flow adjustments or expedites (FAF).
  • Communicating insights and representing S&IM in cross-functional partnerships with Territory Planning, Inventory Ops, Geography Sports Planning, Merch teams, and Global Supply Planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

Nike seeks candidates with a proven track record in supply chain operations. Essential qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 1 year of supply/inventory planning or supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent written, spoken, and visual communication skills to convert complex concepts into clear, compelling stories.
  • Superior analytical skills for extracting insights from large datasets and creating executive-ready narratives.
  • Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, formulas, Power Query/Power Pivot, and macros.
  • Experience with SAP preferred, including PRA/PRD access, PO creation/cancellation, and Order Management tools.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, interpersonal skills, decision-making in ambiguity, and tolerance for dynamic environments.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally with diverse stakeholders.

Experience in distributor models or multi-stakeholder environments is a plus.
