Role Overview

The Sustain & Operations Engineer - O9 role is a senior position within PepsiCo’s Technology Strategy & Enterprise Products organization, specifically in the Sustain & Operations team. This Europe market-focused role (with operations in Mexico) emphasizes driving adoption and operational excellence for digital products, particularly in supply chain via the O9 platform. You will ensure optimal end-user experiences through incident resolution, advanced troubleshooting, and proactive system improvements. As a technical leader, you'll handle complex procedures, enhance automation, and collaborate with product owners and managed service providers to sustain high-performing applications.

Key Focus Areas

Your work will center on O9 Solutions for supply chain functionalities, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP). Expect hands-on involvement in monitoring, SLAs, root cause analysis, and governance strategies to boost resiliency and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Perform initial diagnosis, triage, and resolution of technical issues, leveraging expertise in O9 and supply chain operations.
• Work with product owners to validate runbooks, KPI dashboards, SLAs, and notification procedures.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting escalated from support teams, identifying and fixing root causes.
• Develop and expand product functionality, automation, tooling, and dashboards for logical, maintainable solutions.
• Improve logging, monitoring, and customer interaction tracking to enable quick error detection and compliance automation.
• Provide code reviews, mentor peers on best practices, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Lead technically at an organizational level, advising on SE work segmentation for maximum business value.
• Create AMS governance strategies, oversee managed service providers, and ensure SLA adherence.
• Analyze usage and incidents to optimize contracts and reduce costs.
• Deliver concise updates to leadership with timelines, ownership, risks, and mitigation paths.

Qualifications & Requirements

PepsiCo seeks candidates with:

• 7-9 years as an Operations Engineer in Supply Chain or IBP areas.
• Strong hands-on experience with the O9 platform and its supply chain functionalities.
• Ability to analyze problem statements using data, research solutions, and propose viable approaches.
• Expertise in one or more software languages, design patterns, code refactoring for modularity, scalability, and parallel development.
• Skills in optimizing compute resources without impacting users.
• Proven coaching ability through code/design reviews and technical interviews.
