Role Overview

The Sustain & Operations Engineer - O9 role is a senior position within PepsiCo’s Technology Strategy & Enterprise Products organization, specifically in the Sustain & Operations team. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Perform initial diagnosis, triage, and resolution of technical issues, leveraging expertise in O9 and supply chain operations.
  • Work with product owners to validate runbooks, KPI dashboards, SLAs, and notification procedures.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting escalated from support teams, identifying and fixing root causes.
  • Develop and expand product functionality, automation, tooling, and dashboards for logical, maintainable solutions.
  • Improve logging, monitoring, and customer interaction tracking to enable quick error detection and compliance automation.
  • Provide code reviews, mentor peers on best practices, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Lead technically at an organizational level, advising on SE work segmentation for maximum business value.
  • Create AMS governance strategies, oversee managed service providers, and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Analyze usage and incidents to optimize contracts and reduce costs.
  • Deliver concise updates to leadership with timelines, ownership, risks, and mitigation paths.
