Role Overview

Sysco is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auxiliar de Protección de Activos (Temporal) to join our team in Mayca, Costa Rica. This role is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of our inventory and assets within the Mayca Autoservicios locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing control and monitoring functions of inventory across various points of sale, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting risk management processes.

A Day in the Life

As an Auxiliar de Protección de Activos, your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Conducting cycle counts of inventory and analyzing discrepancies in collaboration with store management.
  • Performing random checks of expiration dates to ensure proper inventory rotation and providing feedback to store management.
  • Reconciling inventory purchase documentation and reporting any irregularities or findings.
  • Overseeing the disposal of store waste as directed by the Asset Protection Coordinator.
  • Conducting periodic checks of employee lockers as directed by the Asset Protection Coordinator.
  • Reviewing and reporting on the functionality of electronic security devices such as alarms and CCTV systems.
  • Auditing direct purchase supplier receipts and deliveries made by the CEDI.
  • Supporting risk management processes within the assigned self-service store.
  • Physically checking the self-service store facilities, applying pre-established procedures during opening and closing.
  • Reporting any atypical events or situations to the Asset Protection Coordinator.
  • Communicating with relevant authorities for the detention or tracking of individuals according to company security procedures.
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with security policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Following up and coordinating with external security providers.
  • Supporting specific committees such as emergency brigades and loss committees.
  • Assisting in the induction and training of new security personnel and outsourced employees.
  • Generating and sharing reports of findings within the self-service stores.
