As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer to deliver various products to our valued customers in the Racine area. This includes meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies. You will follow an assigned route schedule, manually unload products at each customer location, and build strong relationships with our customers by providing friendly and reliable service. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will be essential in meeting customer needs and exceeding their expectations.
Your day typically begins early, with a pre-trip inspection of your assigned tractor-trailer to ensure it is safe and in good working condition. Once you've completed the inspection and loaded your delivery manifest, you'll head out on your route, following a carefully planned schedule to ensure timely deliveries to each customer. At each stop, you'll use a hand truck or other equipment to unload products and deliver them to the designated location, often interacting directly with chefs, restaurant managers, and other key personnel. Throughout the day, you'll maintain communication with dispatch to address any unforeseen issues or changes to your schedule. The day ends with a post-trip inspection of your vehicle and completion of any necessary paperwork.
