As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco Central Alabama, you will be the face of our company, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of a wide range of products to our valued customers. Your day begins early with a pre-trip inspection of your truck to ensure it's in optimal condition. Once cleared, you'll load your truck with the day's deliveries, carefully organizing the products for efficient unloading. As you navigate your route, you'll interact with customers, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction. Unloading involves using hand carts or hand trucks to move products weighing up to 100 pounds. Throughout the day, you'll maintain communication with dispatch, manage your delivery schedule, and adhere to all safety regulations. At the end of your shift, you'll conduct a post-trip inspection and prepare for the next day's deliveries.
