As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco Louisville's Evansville Yard, you will be the face of Sysco to our valued customers. Your day begins early, with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your tractor-trailer to ensure it's in optimal working condition. Unloading the truck involves the manual handling of products, often weighing between 40-60 pounds, and sometimes up to 100 pounds. You'll use hand carts and hand trucks to assist with deliveries. At the end of your route, you'll complete a post-trip inspection and ensure your truck is ready for the next day.

You must be 21+ years of age, have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record, and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. You must also be able to read, speak, and understand English, and be able to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds repeatedly, and up to 100 pounds.
While not required, 1 year of customer delivery experience is preferred. Experience with hand carts/hand trucks and food and beverage delivery is also beneficial.

Most Driver Trainees have daily routes and are home nightly. However, flexibility is required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
