Role Overview

As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer and manually unloading/delivering various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. You'll build strong relationships with our customers, becoming a familiar face and understanding their unique needs.

A Day in the Life of a Sysco Driver

Your day will typically begin with a pre-trip inspection of your truck to ensure it's in safe working condition. You'll then load your truck with the day's deliveries, following a carefully planned route to maximize efficiency. At each customer location, you'll unload the products, ensuring they are delivered in a timely and professional manner. Throughout the day, you'll communicate with dispatch and customers, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise. At the end of your route, you'll complete a post-trip inspection of your truck and return to the distribution center.
