In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a tractor-trailer, delivering a variety of products, including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies, to our valued customers. This position requires excellent customer service skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.
The day typically starts early, with pre-trip vehicle inspections and route planning. Drivers load their trucks, ensuring proper product placement and temperature control. They then navigate their assigned routes, making deliveries to restaurants, hotels, and other foodservice establishments. A significant part of the job involves manually unloading products using hand carts or hand trucks, interacting with customers, and resolving any issues that may arise. Drivers must maintain accurate delivery records and adhere to all safety regulations. The day concludes with post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting.
