Role Overview

Are you a skilled and dependable CDL A driver looking for a local delivery role where you can be home every night? Sysco Syracuse-Southern Tier Depot is seeking a dedicated CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer and delivering various products to our valued customers in the Syracuse area.

A Day in the Life of a Sysco Driver

Your day as a Sysco CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver typically begins early in the morning. You'll start by performing a thorough pre-trip inspection of your tractor-trailer to ensure it's in safe operating condition. You'll then review your assigned route and load your truck with the products you'll be delivering that day.

Throughout the day, you'll navigate your route, making deliveries to various customer locations. You'll manually unload products from your truck, using hand carts or hand trucks as needed. You'll interact with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

After completing your deliveries, you'll return to the depot, where you'll unload any remaining products and perform a post-trip inspection of your vehicle. You'll also complete any necessary paperwork and communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
