- Operate the Sysco Transportation System (STS) delivery system to scan items and generate invoices.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
- Contact management for authorization regarding invoice discrepancies and communicate any errors or returns.
- Collect payments (checks) where required and deposit all funds daily.
- Pick up, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Ministry of Transportation (MOT) regulations and Sysco policies.
- Complete MOT logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports, and reconcile them with the appropriate company representative.
- Follow Sysco work methods at all times and immediately advise supervisors of any unsafe conditions.
- Adhere to all food safety standard operating procedures.
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer, and assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard.
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, STS units, and personal protective equipment.
