As a Class A Delivery Driver for SYGMA in Orlando, Florida, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to our valued customers. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport product from the warehouse to customer locations according to assigned routes.
  • Unload product from the trailer by hand or using a hand cart, down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
  • Place product in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
  • Pick up, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and transport products back to the SYGMA warehouse.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit on a timely basis, including DOT logs, inspection reports, and vehicle maintenance reports.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurate and turned in daily, and all damages and shortages are reported promptly.
  • Adhere to all food safety protocols, including maintaining proper temperatures in the delivery vehicle and inspecting product for visible damages.
  • Deliver and store product to prevent cross-contamination and maintain sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer.
  • Follow preferred work methods at all times and immediately advise management of any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, SLS units, and personal protective equipment.
  • Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service and clear communication.
  • Communicate with the management team regarding any deviations to the route, trailer or loading issues, and/or customer or product issues.
  • Safely transport product picked up via backhauls and line hauls and ensure picked up product is correct and is delivered on a timely basis.
