Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III - Sysco St. Louis

Role Overview

As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III at Sysco St. Louis, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency of our fleet vehicles. Your day will involve a mix of scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs. You'll start by reviewing work orders and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.   • Performing preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) according to company standards.
  • Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
  • Addressing Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) write-ups promptly and efficiently.
  • Performing FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections.
  • Maintaining refrigeration units (Reefer) and lift-gates.
  • Welding and fabrication work as needed.
  • Mentoring and training junior technicians.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation.
