This position manages FSQA execution of source supplier approval, product sourcing functions, produced products, plant sanitation, and FSQA-related regulatory interaction for the company.
Your day will be dynamic and multifaceted. You'll start by reviewing the previous day's reports and addressing any immediate concerns. You might spend time updating FSQA programs based on new regulations or company policies. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to training employees on FSQA procedures and policies. You'll also manage recall and traceability programs, including conducting mock recalls to test the system's effectiveness. Additionally, you will direct independent FSQA audit programs, such as SQF audits, to ensure the facility meets the highest standards. Collaboration with other departments, such as production and procurement, will be essential to maintain and improve product quality and safety. Some days may involve plant visits, supplier evaluations, and customer communication to address FSQA matters. You might also assist in product evaluations and address any FSQA-related customer complaints.
